Indian internet usage is surging. On top is Jio.

According to Ookla, India has improved its mobile internet speed significantly compared to other countries. According to Ookla data, the majority of areas have seen a significant rise in mobile internet speed since 5G was deployed throughout the nation. The last six months' TRAI report indicates that Jio has the fastest 4G uploading and downloading speeds. Jio has never won first place in both categories before. However, a review of statistics from the prior year reveals that the majority of telecom operators' 4G speeds have decreased.
The fastest network in Kerala is Jio. Kerala's Jio download speed is 25.6 Mbps. Whereas Vodafone Idea's is 11.5 Mbps, Airtel's is 12.1 Mbps. The nation's fastest network is in Mumbai. Mumbai's Jio download speed is 51.3 Mbps.
Reliance Jio's average 4G download speed in January was 19 megabits per second, according to TRAI data (Mbps). Jio achieved the highest upload speed of 6.3 Mbps. In April 2022, Jio's 4G network had a speed of 23.1 Mbps. The download speeds of Jio's rivals Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL were 15.6 Mbps, 14.5 Mbps, and 5.1 Mbps, respectively.
Consumers benefit from faster download times while accessing online material. Whereas Upload makes it easier to rapidly share or send photos or videos to contacts.
Three private telecom operators' 4G upload speeds dropped down in January, according to a TRAI report. Although Vodafone Idea's upload speed is 5.9 Mbps, Jio's average upload speed is 6.3 Mbps. The upload speeds of the other telecom providers are 3.5 Mbps for BSNL and 3.8 Mbps for Bharti Airtel.
Only a few locations are receiving 4G services from BSNL, the public sector telecom operator. The MySpeed application from TRAI uses real-time data collection to determine the average speed throughout all of India.
