Launch of the Realme C55 with a small capsule function

The Realme C55 smartphone was launched in Indonesia on Tuesday. The handset sports a 6.72-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is the first Realme phone to include a mini-capsule feature similar to the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Realme C55 is priced at IDR 2,499,000 (roughly Rs. 13,300). The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at IDR 2,999,000 (roughly Rs. 16,000). The handset is available in Rainy Night and Sunshower color variants.

The OS is developed based on Android 13. It also has a dual SIM (nano) slot. The biggest feature of the smartphone is the 6.72-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 680 nits brightness. The processor is a MediaTek Helio G88 paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The Realme C55 offers a dual rear camera comprising of a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera is of 8 megapixels. There is also an LED flash on the back. It has 256GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.

Connectivity options include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. It has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W SuperWook charging support. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
